Abstract
The preparation and characterization of different types of thin films have been reported by many researchers. In this work, Raman spectroscopy was used to give information such as phase, chemical structure, molecular interactions and crystallinity. The Raman spectra showed that the properties of binary, ternary and quaternary compounds depended on the experimental conditions. Thin film-based solar cells tend to be cheaper if compared to silicon-based solar cells. They are second-generation devices that could be used to produce electricity.
