Abstract

The oxygenated heterocycles are widely found in natural products, medicinal molecules, and various multifunctional components. A large number of synthetic methods have been reported indicating the synthesis and potent biological activities of these heterocycles. Visible light photocatalysis has evolved as a widely used method in organic synthesis, which has emerged as a relevant tool in this area. This review summarizes the recent advances made in the photocatalysed synthesis of oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds.
