Abstract
High-purity chalcogenide glasses from As S, As Se and Ge As Se systems are promising materials for mid-infrared low loss optical fibers. This review reports some problems of the preparation of low impurity chalcogenide glasses and optical fibers, investigation of their properties, and some applications of such fibers.
