Abstract

Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP), which is always associated with autoimmune manifestations, was introduced in 1995 and has been recognized as a type of chronic pancreatitis. Despite numerous studies in Japan, Europe and the United States in recent years, no consensus has been reached about the diagnostic criteria for AIP that may be difficult to distinguish from pancreatic cancer(PC). Nevertheless, the results find it dramatically responds to steroid therapy. Key words: Pancreatitis; Autoimmune diseases; Diagnostic, differential; Therapy
