Abstract
Abstract This paper describes the isolation of 5 organophosphorus residues in beef fat by a commercial sweep co-distillation unit (Unitrex). The operating conditions specified 233°C and nitrogen flow at 230 niL/min. Recoveries of chlorpyriphos, monodechlorchlorpyriphos, bromophosethyl, debromobromophos-ethyl, and ethion ranged from 84 to 99%, with coefficients of variation between 3 and 5%.
