Abstract

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) material and its related host-guest chemistry had recently received much attention from both academic and industry fields, as a result of their potential applications in functional additives, biological and medical materials, catalysts as well as absorption materials. In this review, we summarized the recent progress in the structure and interaction study based on metallic cations and interlayer anions ordering, species of the guest molecules, stacking fashions, as well as host-guest and guest-guest interactions.
