Abstract

Cerebral amyloid angiopathy(CAA)is a disorder characterized by amyloid deposition in the walls of leptomeningeal and cortical arteries, arterioles, and it is one of the common cerebral vascular diseases in the elderly. Cerebral amyloid angiopathy related inflammation(CAA-I), is a recently recognized syndrome of reversible encephalopathy seen in a subset of patients with CAA. Here, we review the advances in research on the pathological mechanism, clinical features and course, investigations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, and treatment of CAA-I.
