Abstract
The Rijksmuseum Bulletin is the quarterly, peer-reviewed journal presenting scholarly articles that contribute to historical and art-historical research into the Rijksmuseum collections to an international audience of curators, scholars, students, art professionals and enthusiasts.

The print collector Ferdinand Colón (1488-1539), son of Christopher Columbus, who lived in Seville, for example, owned a copy mounted as a scroll so that it was easy to hang: ‘Rotulo de 4 pliegos ... del sacrificio de Abrahan ... estampado en Venetia por Hugo de Carpi y Bernardino Benalio ...’

Ugo da carpi (Carpi c. 1480-1532 ?) after one or more designs from the workshop of titian (Pieve di Cadore c. 1488/90?-1576 Venice) The Sacrifice of Isaac, c. 1514-15 (fourth edition, printed c. 1546-50) Woodcut printed from four blocks, 800 x 1200 mm Signed, upper right, in a small leaf: ugo. Like the large woodcut discussed previously, the series of prints was probably designed to be hung on a wall. The Prodigal Son series is one of the earliest known printed works by Anthonisz.
