Abstract

Spontaneous magnetization of thin films is considered mainly in two models: 1) the model of itinerant electrons and 2) the model of localized spins. In order to investigate the behaviour of spontaneous magnetization and to calculate the phase transition temperature the following approaches have been applied: the molecular field and the constant coupling approximations of statistical methods, Green's function procedure, spin wave theory or the Stoner approach to the band magnetism.
