Abstract

The single planar fermion loop amplitude in the Neveu-Schwarz-Ramond model is calculated. In particular, the partition function occurring in the amplitude is determined, using the method developed by Brink and Olive. The amplitude is then compared to that for the meson loop. Using the correct relation between the coupling constants, it is found that the leading divergences do not cancel.
