Abstract
Hyphal systems of the basidiocarps of Bondarzewia montana, B. berkeleyi, Amylaria himalayensis, Hericium erinaceus and Meripilus talpae have been investigated and the surface structure of the basidiospores determined by light, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. It is concluded that the Bondarzewiaceae, as constituted at present, should be limited to the single genus Bondarzewia.
