Abstract

It is proved that it is necessary to introduce corrections into the readings of meters for measuring the volume of natural gas in a fixed time interval to reflect the change in the values of the absolute pressure, temperature, and composition of the gas (the density under standard conditions). The error in the meter for calculating the amount of natural gas under actual measurement conditions can only be determined by carrying out an expert metrological examination based on data on the ranges of variation of the absolute pressure, temperature and density under standard vendor conditions and errors in measuring them.
