Abstract

Additions of carbon and sulfur in certain quantities have a positive effect on the properties of YuNDKT alloys. At higher concentrations the magnetic properties may be impaired, which is due to formation of large numbers of nonmetallic inclusions that impoverish the solid solution in titanium. Correcting the titanium content makes it possible to avoid impairing the magnetic properties and retain the advantages of carbon and sulfur additions.
