Abstract

Numerical estimation of the effect of surfactants on floatability of particles with different wettability is reported. It is proved that the particles with higher hydrophilic surface are recovered into a froth product at the “gas-pulp” interface at the presence of a film of normal alcohols and fat acids. Theoretical value of the suppression coefficient for the capillary wave amplitude coincides satisfactorily with the test values and may be used in calculations.
