Abstract

The main, sometimes perhaps ulterior motive of Husserl’s phenomenology is the enthusiasm of reason. He interprets philosophy not only as mental activities but also as a real creative experience in the sphere of culture within its historicity. That is why there are good reasons for the assertion that phenomenology is ultimately connected with the main intentions of the Enlightenment, including its social and cultural designs. Of course, we cannot speak about the mechanical adoption, but the continuity of the tradition is beyond all question.
