Abstract

Majority of the Romanan trout rearing pools import embryoned consumption spawns. The motivation: selected individuals have a higher rearing velocity and a bigger fish quantity is obtaind within shorter time interval. The performances obtained by the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) reared for consumption spawn production are emphasized in this paper. The measurements and weighinghs were performed on 50 females (3 years old) reared within a Romanian classical rainbow rearing pool. The feeding was performed with forge for reproducers for 2 months before milking. The following traits were recorded: body weight and length, weight and number of spawns, gonosomatic index. Very satisfactory body development was emphasized (table 1) and number of spawns recorded an average value of 3,286 pieces by female. Table 1
