Abstract

A case of a patient in cardiac arrest, after suffering a myocardial infarction, is presented. Pulseless electrical activity (PEA) is showed by the electrocardiogram. 65 minutes after performing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, PEA persisted, so we decided to stop the CPR. At that time, an intense stimulation on Governing Vessel 26 (GV-26) was done, and the rhythm turned into ventricular fibrillation (VF). Taking advantage of the induced period of VF due to GV-26 stimulation, the patient could be defibrillated, and recovered the native circulation.
