Abstract

We propose a microrobotic platform for motile cell observation and stimulation. The platform utilizes a high-speed vision sensor to realize the cell's real-time observation under the microscope with relatively high magnification ratio. A stimulation device can be easily implemented on the platform to apply the desired stimulation to the cell. The design of the platform and the actual experimental implementation on actual free motile cells are described in the paper. The proposed platform can be used to discover new behaviors of the cells and lead for new discoveries in biological fields.
