Abstract

Multiphase flow occurs commonly in industrial systems. Monitoring the conditions of multiphase flow in industrial processes is important for production manufacture. In this paper, we presented an EIT sensing system which is capable of noninvasive and real-time detection of multiphase flow in pipelines. The proposed device mainly composites of a data acquisition system and a software algorithm system. The latter is to process the obtained data for image reconstruction of the multiphase flow in real time. Both simulation and experimental studies have been carried out to demonstrate the effective of the proposed method for real-time monitoring multiphase flow in pipelines.
