Abstract

In this paper, the conventional iterative method is applied to study the nonlinear response of light within the chalcogenide glass (As2Se3) resonating system. The proposed system consisted of two cascaded modified add–drop resonators, which is known as a Panda-ring resonator. The feedback circuit is constructed by the two Panda-ring resonators, where the 1st Panda-ring forms the signal system, while the second one forms the feedback system. By using the scattering matrix method, the relationship between the electrical fields in the system is obtained. Four categories of soliton and plane wave input light sources are applied and fed into the feedback circuit, and the nonlinear response of the system is investigated. The various cases of applications are simulated and the results discussed, primarily, for bifurcation applications.
