Abstract

The central idea of this paper is to evaluate the real time processing capabilities of XEON processor using Intel IPP (Integrated Performance Primitives) by computing the time of various benchmarks. There are various benchmarks available in signal processing. Among those two most resourceful operations which are core to Digital signal processing are taken and computation time is analysed in this paper. Initially, various operations and functions performed by Intel IPP are explained. We also present the XEON processor, which increases the speed and so drastic reduction in computation time in order to cope up with the speed of high workloads. Compared the results with those of MATLAB and FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Array) and got validated. Finally, the summarized results prove that Intel IPP computation time is faster compared to other routines.
