Abstract

Entanglement, as a physical resource, plays an important role in quantum teleportation and dense coding etc. This paper presents a new idea that entanglement also works in state transformation. With the aid of maximally-entangled states, any state transformation can be implemented. In particular, this scheme can be used to prepare higher-dimension maximally-entangled states from partially-entangled states. We also show that the swap of quantum information can be realized according to Nielsen's theorem.
