Abstract

The article contains an analysis of the law in the field of citizens’ right to access public information. The issue is presented starting from the most general issues, such as international regulations. The author also discusses issues of national law in the field of analysis of constitutional restrictions on the right to access public information, as well as specific issues related to the material scope of the Act on Access to Public Information and to the practice of local government units in the application of this Act in the light of the jurisprudence of voivodeship administrative courts and the Supreme Administrative Court.
