Abstract

The main argument in my article was that the Latin American center-left alliances of the 1990s, which you were a foremost proponent of ended up submerging the struggle against antineoliberalism. When the left finally split off from such alliances - as in the case of FREPASO leaders under the Fernando de la Rua government in Argentina - opposition to neoliberalism was not the principal cause. Does this demonstrate the need to prioritize antineoliberalism in any center-left alliance?
