Abstract
Results of the application of the real-space refinement procedure of Diamond 1971 are presented. Optimal operating conditions have been sought in relation to zone lengths, filter levels and ill-defined features of the electron density map. The consistency of the results suggests that optimal co-ordinates for wellresolved features are located to about 0.1 Å.
