Abstract

The real part of the amplitudes describing high-energy forward K+-proton and K−-proton scattering is calculated using dispersion-relation technique in such a way that the results are practically independent of the parametrization of the unphysical region. The results obtained are in good agreement with the existing experimental data; they show the existence of a large negative real part for the K+-proton and negligibly small positive real part for the K−-proton case.
