Abstract

In this paper, the real appropriate phase-only nulling algorithm for adaptive digital beamforming (DBF) is proposed. This algorithm changes only the phases at some pairs of the array elements instead of adjusting the amplitudes and phases of the weight coefficients at all the array elements simultaneously. Since only the real number operations are used and the weight coefficients at some pairs of elements in array are modified, it is efficient for real-time processing, computation-time reduction and the practical engineering implementation. Computer simulations are shown and results are in good agreement with theoretical analysis.
