Abstract
Aryl isothiocyanates react with O-alkyl S-alkoxycarbonylmethyl thiocarbonates , S-cyanomethyl dimethyldithiocarbamate, and ethyl (thiobenzoylthio)acetates in the presence of strong bases, followed by alkylation with methyl iodide or alkyl bromoacetates, to give substituted thieno[2,3-d]-1,3-thiazole derivatives , substituted 1-cyanovinyl dimethyldithiocarbamates , and substituted azetin-2-ones , respectively
