Abstract

The (aziridin-1-ylimino)-triphenylphosphoranes 1a and 1b react with acyl halides or -pseudohalides to form imidoyl halides or -pseudohalides some of which have considerably high stability. The reaction of 1a or 1b with several isocyanates yields the carbodiimide derivatives 6a–6f which are substituted by an aziridine ring. Addition of benzoyl bromide to 6a or 6b produces the ring-opened compounds 7 or 8.
