Abstract
Laboratory experiments on reagent treatment of a 226Ra-contaminated soil material in the dynamic mode were made. The most efficient reagent for 226Ra leaching is a mixed solution of HNO3 and NH4NO3. Its filtration through a soil bed decreases the contamination level by a factor of 20. Radium can be efficiently recovered from solutions by sorption on modified sawdust.
