Abstract

Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center) is legendary in information technology circles for two things: the profound impact it has had on computing and the apparent failure of Xerox to capitalise on that. Now Xerox is setting PARC free on the choppy seas of commerce, to flourish or founder on its ability to invent the future and commercialise it. This article discusses how this can be done according to Mark Bernstein, the director of PARC.
