Abstract

I recently spent a couple of weeks in the sun, reading, sipping cool drinks and observing herds of young children cavorting in the kid's pool, including my grandchildren. Had the swimming pool been in the UK, I guess the health and safety enthusiasts would have banned it. Or had nervous breakdowns. But it wasn't, and the children had a ball. Every device for slipping, sliding, jumping off and falling into, was operational.
