Abstract
Effective communication is essential to nurses at all levels. Most educational activities related to communication focus on therapeutic techniques between nurse and patient. Opportunities for students to participate in activities that promote persuasive communication skills are vital. Students participated in a learning activity, which challenged them to master main influence channels utilizing identified persuasion techniques. Several students were successful in selling ideas. The education innovation refined students’ communication skills and met competencies related to leadership.
