Raspberry pi will use the Optical character recognition (OCR)scheme installed on it, which is used to convert text to audio speech. Once it is captured then it is scanned and then this captured text is spoken out by the TTS conversion unit (TTS ENGINE) placed in Raspberry pi with earphones. In this paper the implementation is done for two languages that is English and English text can be converted and read out in local language(telugu). So visually impaired people can use the language based on their choice to listen to the output from OCR.
