Readers and Foreign Languages: A Survey of Undergraduate Attitudes toward the Study of Literature

Abstract

(19: p. 10). The purpose of this investigation was to examine undergraduates' attitudes toward the study of literature in a foreign language, as well as factors affecting their opinions. In the present research, we used a questionnaire to elicit these opinions. With the presentation and discussion of our findings, we include a review of previous investigations of learner attitudes regarding the study of native and foreign language literature.
