Abstract
I was unsettled by the photograph on the front cover of the April issue of Emergency Nurse (Vol 10, No. 1) primarily because it reinforces a stereotypical image of a violent youth with which there appears to be a tenuous link in the journal scan article. The research does not mention the ethnicity of the victims, or the perpetrators, but is concerned with the numbers of young people who are victims of violent injury and visit/re-attend the A&E.
