Abstract

We read with interest the case in which a “chiropraxis session” resulted in a severe C5-C6 fracture, associated with spinal cord injury, vertebral artery dissection, and cerebellar infarction.1 First, it is important to emphasize that chiropractic is a profession, not just a technique. Chiropractors are qualified for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and show effectiveness for the management of acute and chronic neck or back pain, with or without neurologic impairment.2
