Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to (a) compare the readability levels of textbooks used in the common body of knowledge (CBK) courses in the college of business administration (CBA) at a medium-size state university with grades made by students in those courses, to determine whether there is a correlation between textbook reading levels and grades received in those courses; and (b) compare the readability levels of those textbooks, used in CBK courses in the CBA, with student withdrawals from those courses to determine whether there is a correlation between textbook reading levels and student withdrawals from those courses.
