Abstract
Abstract The problems related to the increasing efficiency of hydrocarbon steam conversion and CO conversion processes taking into account kinetics, hydrodynamics and heat-exchange are analysed. A new design of reactors with a low pressure drop across the granular layer and an inside heat-exchanger providing the possibility of using more-effective fine-grained catalysts and the ability to run the catalytic processes in the kinetics at optimum temperature conditions is presented. Examples of the main characteristics of the new reactors designs for steam conversion of natural gas and CO are given.
