Abstract

The inhibiting action of fullerene C60 on the liquid-phase initiated oxidation of cumene and ethylbenzene was studied. The apparent rate constants of inhibition by fullerene C60 of cumene and ethylbenzene oxidation were determined by measuring the amount of absorbed oxygen: (1.3±0.2)·103 and (2.0±0.3)·103 L mol−1 s−1, respectively.
