Abstract

Reactivity effects of large voids in the reflector of the Pool Critical Assembly (PCA), an enricheduranium, light-water-moderated and -reflected, pooltype reactor were investigated experimentally and were the variations of reactivity of voids at the center of a core face, void position on core face, and separation distance between void and core face. Superposability of the reactivity effects of multiple voids was neutron flux distribution was measured. (W.D.M.)
