Abstract
The reactions of the molybdenum(II) dicarbonyl complexes, [MoBr(π-allyl)(CO) 2(L) 2] (L = CH 3CN, py) and (MoBr(π-allyl)(CO) 2(L,L)] (L,L = bipy, phen, dppe) with HgX 2 (X = Cl, CN, SCN) give several new complexes via a displacement reaction involving Br or/and L ligands or a simple adduct formation reaction.
