Abstract
Abstract In an earlier paper, 1 we reported the preparation of a variety of ferrocenyl- and 2-thienylarylacetylenes via the coupling of cuprous acetylides with aryl iodides (eq 1). The ready availability of these acetylenes prompted us to examine some of their reactions under electrophilic and nucleophilic conditions.
