Reactions of polynuclear manganese and iron carbonyl complexes with organoisocyanides

Abstract

The preparations of (RNC n Mn 2(CO) 10− n (R = Me or t-Bu; n = 1–4) {(PhO 3P} 2(t-BuNC)Mn 2(CO) 7, and (RNC) m Fe 3(CO) 12− m (R = Me or t-Bu; m = 1–3) are reported; many of these complexes exist as mixtures of isomers in solution and appear to be fluxional.
