Cyclohexyl pyrazinyl sulfoxides reacted with trifluoroacetic anhydride to give 1-cyclohexenyl pyrazinyl sulfides and/or cyclohexyl hydroxypyrazinyl sulfides. The presence of alkyl groups on the pyrazine ring is essential to obtain the latter compounds
