Abstract
1. σ-Benzyl-π-cyclopentadienyliron dicarbenyl is acylated in the benzene ring under the conditions of the Friedel-Crafts reaction. 2. The iron-carbon σ-bond in σ-benzyl-π-cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl was cleaved under the influence of halogens, mercuric bromide, and trifluoroacetic acid.
