Abstract
AbstractThis article reviews recent experimental work on reactive processes involving alkali‐halide clusters (AHC). The processes discussed include: adsorption of molecules on AHCs [1]; reactive collisions of alkali‐fluoride clusters with silicon surfaces [2]; and the primary photochemistry of alkali‐bromide and ‐iodide clusters [3,4]. Earlier work on evaporation and cleavage processes, and experiments on clusters with excess electrons, are not reviewed.
