Abstract

MINDO/3 and MNDO calculations of various reaction pathways of circumambulatory rearrangements ofthiol and dithiol derivatives of cyclopentadiene indicate preference of the 1,2-sigmatropic shift mechanism for the SR group migration, while the 1,3-sigmatropic shift mechanism was shown to be energy preferable in the case of the SSR migrant.
