Abstract
The ionic complexes [Cp 2Mo 2(CO) 4{ μ- η 2: η 3-HCCC(H)(Fc)}][BF 4] ( 1) and [{Cp 2Mo 2(CO) 4( μ- η 2: η 3-HCCC(H)} 2Fc][{Bf 4} 2] ( 5) react with NaHg in toluene solution. The results are interpreted in terms of a radical mechanism involving intramolecullar intermolecular coupling reactions.
