Abstract
1. A classification of reactions of aromatic polyfunctional nucleophiles with derivatives of aromatic polycarboxylic acids was proposed. 2. The classification can be based on a quantity expressing the difference between the electron densities of the nucleophilic atoms situated in the o-orα-position to one another of the nucleophilic reaction centers, Δde. 3. A brief characterization of processes in which nucleophiles possessing large and small values of Δde participate was proposed.
